Franz, AI Today is a project for turning fast-moving AI news into useful operational intelligence. The reason this project exists is that AI changes too quickly to follow casually. Brent needs a reliable place to see what changed, why it matters, and what we should test or use next. The first audience is internal: Brent, Fergus, and the team. The later opportunity is public: the same research can become a website, a daily brief, and eventually a daily podcast. The most important distinction is signal versus noise. AI news is full of announcements, demos, rumors, and hype. AI Today should not repost everything. It should organize the few things that matter into categories like model releases, tool updates, automation opportunities, business use cases, risks, legal or platform changes, and recommendations for what we should test next. Your role is to help make this repeatable. That means helping define trusted sources, a daily brief format, and a scoring rule for what deserves attention. A good AI Today item should answer: what happened, who announced it, why it matters, what it changes for us, and whether Brent or Fergus should take action. The long-term path is that the daily written brief can become source material for a public-facing site or podcast. But the first goal is practical: give Brent one clean place to understand how AI should affect the work we are already doing.
