Module 06 — Redundancy and Consolidation Map
Some redundancy in AmazonOps is healthy because different people need different lenses. The goal is not to delete every overlapping tile. The goal is to label each tile’s lens so Franz knows which one to trust for which question.
Recommendation
Do not delete tiles yet. First use Franz’s onboarding as a live confusion audit. Track every time he asks, “Which tile should I trust?” If the same cluster causes confusion repeatedly, consolidate that cluster first.
Recommended consolidation order:
- Profitability Hub.
- Revenue Intelligence Hub.
- Buy Box Operations Hub.
- Inventory Health Hub.
Keep distinct for now: Restock Dashboard, Restock Order Form, Prep & Pack Workspace, Warehouse Inventory, SKU Mapping Validation, Price Intelligence, Authorized Sellers & MAP Compliance, Brand Alerts, Alert Settings, and April 1 MAP Changes.
MAP and pricing overlap
Tiles: Price Intelligence, All MAP Violations Log, Authorized Sellers & MAP Compliance, April 1 MAP Changes, Brand Alerts, Loss Sellers, and Level Brands Compliance.
How to separate them:
- Price Intelligence: what price did we observe, including business and bulk-tier context?
- All MAP Violations Log: who was below MAP and when?
- Authorized Sellers & MAP Compliance: was the seller authorized, and how did authorized sellers behave?
- April 1 MAP Changes: did sellers adapt to the April 1 MAP update?
- Brand Alerts: which events became alerts?
- Loss Sellers: who is below breakeven or close to it?
- Level Brands Compliance: focused seller compliance history.
Consolidation thought: keep Brand Alerts and Alert Settings separate. Keep Price Intelligence separate. MAP Violations, Authorized Sellers, and April 1 can share components but should not be blindly merged yet.
Buy box overlap
Tiles: Buy Box Health, Competitive Pricing / Buy Box, Buy Box Win Rate, and Price Intelligence.
How to separate them:
- Buy Box Health: are we healthy, suppressed, or damaged?
- Competitive Pricing / Buy Box: current consumer-market competition.
- Buy Box Win Rate: current hold rate and tracking.
- Price Intelligence: B2B, business, bulk-tier, and featured-offer nuance.
Consolidation thought: combine Competitive Pricing / Buy Box and Buy Box Win Rate into one Buy Box Operations tile. Keep Buy Box Health as the diagnostic layer.
Profitability overlap
Tiles: MAP Profitability, WA vs Wholesale Profitability, Sell Price Calculator, 2025 Margins Summary, Preferred Member Logic, Professional Account Logic, and FBA Fees.
How to separate them:
- MAP Profitability: profitability at MAP.
- WA vs Wholesale: account model comparison.
- Sell Price Calculator: quick what-if.
- 2025 Margins Summary: historical margin.
- Preferred/Professional logic: rebuilt spreadsheet assumptions.
- FBA Fees: fee inputs.
Consolidation thought: this is the best first hub candidate. A Profitability Hub could absorb most of these with tabs and reduce dashboard clutter.
Revenue and volume overlap
Tiles: Sales Intelligence, ASIN Monthly Volume, Sales & Revenue, Brand Revenue, ASIN Revenue, Revenue History, and Variation Sales.
How to separate them:
- Sales Intelligence / ASIN Monthly Volume: units and volume estimates.
- Sales & Revenue: seller-side units and revenue trend.
- Brand Revenue / ASIN Revenue: broader brand and ASIN revenue estimates.
- Variation Sales: family/group level view.
Consolidation thought: build a Revenue Intelligence Hub with observed, estimated, and variation views clearly labeled.
Inventory overlap
Tiles: Restock Dashboard, FBA Inventory, Warehouse Inventory, Aging Inventory, Stuck Inventory, IPI, and Inbound Noncompliance.
How to separate them:
- Restock Dashboard: what to order.
- FBA Inventory: what Amazon currently has.
- Warehouse Inventory: what Brent physically has.
- Aging Inventory: what is getting old.
- Stuck Inventory: what is not flowing.
- IPI: account-level inventory performance.
- Inbound Noncompliance: shipment and inbound problems.
Consolidation thought: keep Restock, Warehouse, SKU Mapping, Order Form, and Prep separate. Consider grouping Aging, Stuck, IPI, FBA Inventory, and Inbound into an Inventory Health hub.
Final rule
If two tiles disagree, do not ask which one is right first. Ask which question each tile is trying to answer.
